Redwood Technologies LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use ShowingUp (the “App”), a private, encrypted platform for managing your most important 1:1 relationships.

ShowingUp is available globally but is intended for users aged 18 years or older. If you are under 18, you may not create an account or use the App.

Important: ShowingUp is not intended for emergency communications or crisis response. Do not rely on the App for accessing emergency services.

• Account Info: Name, email, phone number, and profile photo.
• Contact Permissions: If you choose, we may access your contacts to help you find people already using the App. By uploading contact information, you confirm you have the legal right to share that data under applicable privacy laws.

b. Automatically Collected Data
• Device Info: Device type, OS version, app version.
• Usage Data: Feature usage, interactions, timestamps.
• IP Address & Location: Used for security and fraud prevention.
• Analytics Data: We may collect anonymized crash reports and performance diagnostics via services like Firebase to improve stability and functionality.

  1. End-to-End Encryption & Data Ownership

All 1:1 spaces in ShowingUp are end-to-end encrypted using unique encryption keys—only you and your connection can access your shared content. We cannot decrypt user content, even if you request support. Some metadata (such as timestamps and user IDs) may be retained in unencrypted form for functionality.

When you create a shared space with another user, that data is co-owned. If either user deletes the connection, all shared content is permanently and irreversibly deleted for both parties. This mirrors access revocation in encrypted messaging or file-sharing apps.

  1. Data Retention
    • Encrypted message data is stored only while both users maintain the connection.
    • If a connection is deleted, associated 1:1 data—including messages and shared files—is immediately and permanently purged from our systems. No backups or cached copies are retained.
    • Deleted accounts trigger full data deletion within 30 days.
    • Diagnostic or support-related metadata (non-personal) may be retained for up to 90 days.

    Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., under GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to:
    • Access your data

    • Delete your data
    • Object to or restrict processing

You can delete your account directly using Settings > Delete Account, or by emailing support@showingup.app.

    • No Advertising Partners: We do not share data for ad targeting.

ShowingUp is operated from the U.S. If you use the App outside the U.S., your data may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. or in other countries under legal safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
